Greeley couple facing charges after youth ballgame

A Greeley couple is facing municipal charges after a dispute at a baseball game for 10-year-olds.

The Greeley Tribune reports James Dyer faces a charge of disorderly conduct while his wife, Jammie Dyer, faces charges of misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct and theft of a cell phone after the incident Tuesday night.

Police Sgt. Susan West says Mr. Dyer told police he yelled profanities at the opposing team’s coach after the coach yelled at his son.

Witnesses say Dyer’s wife noticed a woman was recording the scene on her phone and struck the woman in the back of the head and took her phone.

The Greeley Evans Youth League Board of Directors says it’s reviewing the incident.
