Colorado nonfarm payroll jobs were up 11,000 from May to June, exceeding the previous peak by 4,800 jobs over May 2008.

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment said Friday the unemployment rate increased a tenth of a percentage point to 7 percent over the same period, compared with the national unemployment rate of 7.6 percent, which was unchanged.
