Former undersheriff of Montezuma County arrested
The former undersheriff for the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office has surrendered after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of misusing county funds.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says Robin Cronk was jailed Wednesday on charges of embezzlement of public funds and misconduct.
Officials became suspicious after Cronk’s spending on a department-issued credited suddenly increased this year.
It could not be determined Thursday if Cronk has an attorney.
Cronk resigned from his post as undersheriff in late June.
