Serious accident at I-25 and Woodmen briefly closes road

I-25 northbound was closed at Woodmen Road for about 45 minutes because of a serious traffic accident.

It happened around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

Colorado Springs police immediately began taking traffic off the interstate via the Woodmen exit.

Around 6:00 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation said I-25 is back open.
