Fremont County woman accused of neglecting horses

A Fremont County woman is facing accusations of animal cruelty and neglect after officials seized two horses from her property.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says the animals taken from Angelyn Daniels’ ranch in Penrose were dehydrated, didn’t have enough food, were suffering from injuries, and were living in unsafe conditions.

The Colorado Humane Society transported the horses to a rehabilitation facility to recover.

Daniels, 20, was issued a summons for two counts of cruelty to animals.
