3:30 p.m.: Flash flood warnings have been issued for the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars.

3:34 p.m.: Viewer report: Black sludge, burnt logs, and basketballs in water flowing on property near the Black Forest burn scar.

3:35 p.m.: Westbound Highway 24 is closed at Manitou Springs because of a mudslide.

3:37 p.m. Black Forest Flash Flood Warning expires at 6:30 p.m.

3:38 p.m.: Westbound Highway 24 is closed at 31st Street.

3:37 p.m. Waldo Canyon Flash Flood Warning expires at 6:30 p.m.

3:40 p.m. – Viewer in Manitou Springs says no major flooding occurring at this time; says the creek is running higher than normal.

3:42: p.m. – Viewer says trees and other large debris flowing down Fountain Creek through Manitou Springs.

3:44 p.m. – Crews now say the Highway 24 closure is because of a rock slide near Cave of the Winds.

3:48 p.m. – Viewer reports the Flash Flood Warning siren in Manitou Springs is sounding.

3:51 p.m. – City hall is closed, siren has sounded several times in Manitou Springs.

3:55 p.m. – Viewer reports Black Forest Road is a “black running river” north of Shoup Road.

3:56 p.m. – A Red Cross shelter has opened at First Congregational Church, 101 Pawnee Avenue, Manitou Springs.

4:01 p.m. – Shoup Road in Black Forest is closed east of Tia Lane because of flooding. County officials report up to 18″ of water on the road.

4:04 p.m. – Live video from Manitou Springs shows Fountain Creek is still in it’s banks.

4:10 p.m. – Viewer stuck in road closure on highway 24 says he saw cars floating at one point. Viewer says he is just west of Manitou Springs on highway 24.

4:17 p.m. – Rain gauges show Between .27″ and 1.02″ of rain has fallen on the Waldo Canyon burn scar.

4:21 p.m. – Cars reported stranding in flooding at Briargate and Voyager in north Colorado Springs. Scattered Power outages in Colorado Springs. Likely due to lightning.

4:23 p.m. – The rain has stopped over the Waldo Canyon Fire. Flash Flood danger remains for next several hours because burn scar is “hydrophobic”, which means it doesn’t absorb any water.

4:30 p.m. – Live aerial video appears to show no major flooding coming out of Williams Canyon into Manitou Springs.

4:40 p.m. – Viewer video shows car floating in flash flood on highway 24.

4:54 p.m. – The road block on westbound Highway 24 at 21st has been removed. Westbound is still closed at 31st Street.

4:59 p.m. – CDOT says no injuries reported in flash flood on US 24.

5:00 p.m. – CDOT says WB US 24 to remain closed for several hours. Damage assessment may not be completed until 8 p.m.

5:04 p.m. – CDOT says EB US 24 will open at 5:30. WB could take up to 90 minutes. 15 vehicles need to be removed. No major road damage reported. Minor flooding in Cascade. Major flooding in the burn scar itself.

5:17 p.m. – Witness tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that multiple light poles were knocked down by the flood in Ute Pass.

5:38 p.m. – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says Shoup Road now open. Water was up to 30″ deep in some places at the height of the flood.

5:54 p.m. – Manitou Springs Fire Department says 2 people were taken to the hospital after being rescued from a fast-flowing Fountain Creek. No information about their conditions is available.

6:08 p.m. – Eastbound US 24 is now open west of Manitou Springs. Westbound could be closed for several more hours.
