Man killed in motorcycle crash

A Colorado Springs man died Thursday night after a motorcycle crash in El Paso County.

The crash happened on Londonberry Drive, about one mile west of Meridian Road.

The Colorado State Patrol says 44 year old Stanley Cooper lost control of his motorcycle and hit a concrete curb. Cooper was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. State Patrol says Cooper was not wearing a helmet.

It does not appear that alcohol, drugs or speed are factors in the crash. State Patrol is investigating.
