SVP alert issued for Colorado Springs neighborhood
Colorado Springs Police say a sexually violent predator has moved into a neighborhood downtown.
Lloyd Leonard Herrera, 39, is homeless, and living in the area of Pikes Peak Avenue and Tejon Street.
Police say Herrera was convicted of attempted sexual assault on a child in 2005.
Herrera has also been convicted of third-degree assault, criminal possession of a financial transaction device, theft, sexual assault – 10 year age difference, and failure to register as a sex offender in 2007, 2010, and 2012.
Herrera is one of 11 sexually violent predators currently registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
