Efforts to restore collection destroyed in Black Forest fire

A family who lost their home in the Black Forest fire is asking for helpt to replace their son’s collection of police patches.

Kyle Jensen started collecting the patches when he was 5-years-old after his uncle, Colorado Springs police officer Jared Jensen, was killed in the line of duty in 2006.

The patch collection was destroyed in the fire. People from across the country are now helping restore his collection.

Patches can be sent to the attention Jeff Jensen at the Colorado Springs Police Sub-Station at 4110 Tutt Boulevard.
