Former Loveland police officer accepts plea deal

A former Loveland police officer has pleaded guilty to charges including unlawful sexual contact.

Rodney Bretches also pleaded guilty Monday to criminal attempt to commit sexual exploitation of a child.

According to court documents, officers investigating a video of a woman who was secretly filmed while showering found child pornography on Bretches’ computer.

Bretches resigned after charges were filed against him last year. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 26.
