Fire burning in San Isabel National Forest

A wildfire started in the San Isabel National Forest southwest of Pueblo on Friday afternoon.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says the fire is burning close to the old Mason Gulch burn scar at the edge of the park. It’s burning about a quarter-mile from Bells Gulch.

The 3-acre fire is being fought by smoke jumpers.

The sheriff’s office says that at last report the fire was lying down.
