Evacuations for city of Colorado Springs lifted, county evacuations continue

Evacuations for people living inside Colorado Springs city limits were lifted Friday afternoon.

The following information is from the city of Colorado Springs:

City officials have lifted allMandatory Evacuation Orders for Colorado Springs EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Following are the boundaries for the remaining Voluntary Evacuation Zone:

New Voluntary Evacuation Area: Northern Boundary: North Gate and Old North Gate Road – Southern Boundary: Interquest Parkway – Eastern Boundary: Highway 83 – Western Boundary: Voyager Parkway.

**To ensure security during initial implementation of the new Voluntary Evacuation Area, citizens should re-enter the area at three locations that will be staffed by CSPD: North Gate Road and Voyager Parkway/ Serenity Park Drive and Voyager Parkway/ Old North Gate Road and Roller Coaster Road. Citizens should be prepared to show photo ID upon re-entry**
