Measles case reported in Colorado

The first case of measles in Colorado since 2006 has been confirmed in a man who traveled to Denver from India last month.

The case was reported to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment after the man arrived on May 14.

State epidemiologist Dr. Lisa Miller says Colorado typically has fewer cases of measles than other parts of the country. In 2006, there was a single confirmed case.

Symptoms include a runny nose, rash, fever, cough and red, watery eyes.
