Colo. Springs man killed in motorcycle crash

A Colorado Springs man was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday night in Security-Widefield.

The crash happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fontaine Blvd. and Fountain Mesa Rd.

Troopers say a car was making a turn when it crashed into a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, a 37-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital where he died shortly after arriving. Troopers say he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the car, Antwan Bolton, 20, of Colorado Springs was not hurt.

Troopers say Bolton failing to yield the right-of-way while turning may have caused the crash.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
