Ft. Carson soldier killed in Afghanistan
The Department of Defense announced Saturday that a Fort Carson soldier was killed in Afghanistan.
Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunezrodriguez, 29, of Pasadena, Texas, died May 30 , in Wardak Province, Afghanistan. He died from injuries he suffered after his vehicle struck an Improvised Explosive Device.
Staff Sgt. Nunezrodriguez was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
He was assigned to the 68th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
