Springs police issue SVP alert

The Colorado Springs police department reports two sexually violent predators are moving into the Community.

39-year-old Lloyd Leonard Herrera will be living in the 1400 block of south Nevada Avenue.

Herrera was convicted of attempted sexual assault on a child in 2005 in Jefferson County.

Herrera’s long list of prior convictions also includes sexual assault –10 Year Age Difference and failure to register as a sex offender in 2007, 2010 and 2012.

Sixty-five-year-old Wesly Leroy Lehmkuhl will be living in the 2200 block of east Boulder Street.

Lehmkuhl was convicted of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust in 1998.

Lehmkuhl has also been convicted of failure to register as a sex offender.

Eleven sexually violent predators are living in Colorado Springs.
