Report: Driving school linked to 2 fatal crashes

Court documents say two people involved in fatal crashes took driving tests from a Colorado school whose owner was charged with falsely certifying that applicants passed a driving exam.

The Denver Post reported Tuesday one was a contract driver for the Regional Transportation District whose bus ran a red light and collided with two vehicles in 2010. Two people died.

The document says the other was driving a car going the wrong way on Interstate 76 when it crashed. Details of that incident weren’t available.

The documents were filed in Denver federal court, where the school owner was charged with mail fraud and bribery.

Prosecutors say the owner agreed to plead guilty to mail fraud. Sentencing is scheduled for June 11.

The owner was identified as Sikuru Fadeyi .
