UPDATE: Missing Canon City woman found safe
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said a woman reported missing in Canon City Sunday morning has been found safe.
Katlyn McKinney, 18, didn’t return home after going to a friend’s house on Saturday night, family members said.
The Sheriff’s Office said McKinney reportedly rarely goes outside after dark and is unfamiliar with the area. Authorities said she left her friend’s house in the 1500 block of Grand Avenue around midnight to walk home to the 900 block of Greenwood Avenue.
Family members are concerned about McKinney’s welfare and say she is overdue for medications for epileptic seizures.
McKinney was found Sunday afternoon at a friend’s house..
