Bikers ride through the Springs to support veterans

About 450 motorcyclists rode through Colorado Springs Sunday, as part of the Defenders of Freedom Veterans Recognition Ride.

The ride is meant to honor men and women who served or are serving in the military, recognize those who were wounded, and remember the service members who lost their lives.

Organizers also want to raise money for the Special Operations Warriors Foundation, which supports Special Operation Forces and their families in different ways.

Many of the participants are veterans themselves. The more than 40-mile ride was a chance to bond with fellow veterans.

“It shows the camaraderie between everyone, where you have different clubs out here where they can still get along, and we’re all out here for the same reason,” Adam Treloar said.
