UPDATE: Two killed in El Paso County crash

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash near Falcon that killed two people Monday night. The crash happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Meridian Rd. and Garrett Rd.

Troopers say the driver of a tow truck failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into a Ford F-150 truck.

The two people in the truck, a 57-year-old man and 51-year-old woman from Peyton, died on scene. Troopers say they were not wearing their seat-belts. The names of the two victims will not be released until their family has been notified.

The driver of the tow truck, Joshua Preslar, 24, of Colorado Springs was taken to the hospital to treat moderate injuries.

Troopers do not think alcohol or drug use are factors in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
