Sheriff’s Officials continue to investigate ties between prison gang and Saudi man
The trial may happen as soon as next month for a woman with a link to Prison Chief Tom Clements death. Stevie Vigil is accused of giving a gun to the man investigators say killed Clements.
The 22-year-old Vigil could face up to 16 years in prison if convicted. A handgun she bought was found in Evan Ebel’s car after a shootout with police.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s office isn’t ruling out other suspects in the case. Ebel had ties to a prison gang and so they went after two other members of the 211 crew, Thomas Guolee and James Lohr.
Another man of interest, a Saudi man name Homaidan Al-Turki is serving time at the Limon Correctional Facility for enslaving and raping his housekeeper.
Clements denied a petition for Al-Turki to be sent home a week before he was was murdered.
Now, there are reports FBI agents are investigating any possible financial transactions between Al-Turki and the 211 crew to see if he may have paid for protection.
