Motorcycle rider seriously injured in crash

A man is fighting for his life after a truck crashed into his motorcycle Monday night.

The accident happened just after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Astrozon Blvd. and S. Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs.

Police say the driver of a Ford F-150 crashed into the motorcycle as he was making a left turn. The motorcycle rider had the right of way.

The motorcycle rider, a 19-year-old man, was thrown from his bike. He was taken to the hospital. Police say his injuries are serious and life-threatening.

The driver of the truck, Anthony Caballero, and his passenger were not hurt in the accident.

Caballero was cited for Careless Driving Resulting in Injury and Vehicles Turning Left, among other traffic related charges.
