Canon City Police actively search for missing teen

The Canon City Police Department announced Sunday that it was actively searching for a missing 17-year-old girl.

Miranda Baca was reported missing on Friday, April 19, around 6:30 p.m., police said.

Police think she may have gone to Pueblo to meet someone she met on the Internet or to be with a boyfriend.

Baca has three tattoos: “Sister” on her front, left shoulder, “Family First” with a cross on her back, and a tribal design on her left foot.

Baca is 5’2″ and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to a missing persons flier provided to KRDO NewsChannel 13 by Baca’s family, she was last seen wearing blue jeans, black boots, a one-sleeved white shirt with black swirls and a black coat with fur lining.

If you have any information on Baca’s whereabouts, you’re asked to call Canon City Police at 719-276-5600 or Crime Stoppers at 719-275-STOP (7867).

KRDO NewsChannel 13 is speaking with the teen’s parents Sunday and will have more information on NewsChannel 13 at 5 p.m.
