Suspected gang member charged for attempt to flee

A suspected white supremacist prison gang member wanted for questioning in connection with the killing of Colorado’s corrections director has been charged for trying to get away from police.

Prosecutors announced the charges Thursday as James Lohr appeared in court in Colorado Springs. District attorney’s spokeswoman Lee Richards said the most serious charges are vehicular eluding, possessing a weapon as a previous offender and tampering with physical evidence.

Lohr hasn’t been charged with anything related to the killing of Tom Clements and neither has another suspected 211 Crew member in custody, Thomas Guolee. Guolee was also wanted for questioning in the Clements case and was arrested on a parole violation.

Lohr was arrested April 5 after he fled from officers and threw a gun from his car.
