Okla. Tax Commission won’t renew “F Cancr” license plate

The Oklahoma State Tax Commission is refusing to renew a man’s custom license plate because people have been complaining about the implied vulgarity.

32-year-old Nick Williams has the plate “F Cancr” and says the ‘F’ stands for ‘fight.’

Williams has been battling brain cancer for two and a half years. He has had surgery and chemotherapy and says the plate is a symbol of pride.

Williams says he understands that strangers may confuse the license plate at first, but hopes the Tax Commission will reconsider and let him renew the plate.
