School lockdowns lifted after police activity

Doherty High School in District 11 and Holy Apostles School in Colorado Springs were locked down as a precaution on Wednesday morning.

CSPD’s Tactical Enforcement Unit was executing a warrant nearby and asked the schools to lock down as a safety precaution. The schools were locked down from 11:15 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Police said there was no risk to the schools.

Police have not released any other information regarding the warrant.
