KRDO, NewsChannel 13, in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, located on the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies, is looking for a Director.

Job Purpose and Objective

KRDO, the ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs has an immediate opening for an energetic and enterprising Director to direct Newscasts and other Programs. You will work with the Executive Director, producers and crew to advance shows technically and creatively. You will be required to train new Directors, Audio Operators and Graphics Operators when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

At least 2 years verifiable experience as a Director/Technical Director in medium market television news production. The successful candidate must have working knowledge of Video Production systems, Audio Production systems and techniques, Graphics systems and techniques, and Studio Lighting systems and techniques. You will need the ability to function professionally in high-pressure situations and have excellent verbal communication skills. Additionally you must have good hearing and eyesight for this position as well as be comfortable climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
