Subway employee robbed while heading into work

Police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at a Subway store on S. Murray Blvd.

Police say an employee was heading into work around 4:30 Saturday morning when a man came up to the employee with a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded the employee go into the store and open the safe.

As they entered the store, the security alarm went off and the suspect ran away empty-handed.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s. He is about 5’8″ tall with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and a dark bandana over his face.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
