Man convicted in death of baby sentenced to 32 years
A Fort Carson soldier who was found guilty of child abuse resulting in death was sentenced to 32 years in prison.
Roderick Elam Jr. was convicted of beating his 2-month-old daughter, Harmone’e Elam, to death in December 2011.
Elam was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team. He faced a maximum sentence of 48 years.
