Sex offender moves to Colo. Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department is informing the community that a sex offender labeled as a “sexually violent predator” (SVP) by the parole board has moved to Colorado Springs.

39-year-old Lloyd Leonard Herrera’s criminal history includes a conviction of attempted sexual assault on a child in 2005 in Jefferson County, Colo. Herrera has also been convicted of third degree assault, criminal possession of a financial transaction device, theft, sexual assault-10 year age difference, and failure to register as a sex offender.

Herrera is living at 3033 East Platte Avenue #101 in Colorado Springs. He is described as a Hispanic man, 6 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Herrera is one of 15 “sexually violent predators” registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department and living in the community.
