Springs man found guilty of animal cruelty
A Colorado Springs man was found guilty Tuesday of aggravated animal cruelty after shooting and killing his neighbor’s dog.
Blake Edwards Pfeifer was convicted of shooting his neighbor’s pit bull three times while he was on the phone with police. Pfeifer claimed the dog was being sexually aggressive towards him.
A tape of the shooting was played in open court.
Several neighbors testified that the dog was friendly and just wanted to be petted.
Pfeifer will be sentenced in April.
