Big plans for Pueblo’s tourism industry

City leaders in Pueblo are eager to make the Steel City a tourist hotspot.

At Monday’s city council meeting, developers briefed council on how a recent state tourism grant could boost out-of-state visitors. If the city approves the project, the money from the grant would go, in large part, toward expanding Pueblo’s convention center and building a downtown aquatic center and water park.

More information will be available on Tuesday’s edition of The Pueblo Chieftain.
