Man struck by vehicle in southwest Colorado Springs

A man suffered multiple broken bones while crossing the street Wednesday evening.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on South Tejon Street near East Brookside Street, according to Colorado Springs police.

Police say the man was under the influence of alcohol and was not in the crosswalk.

The man was struck by a southbound vehicle and transported to Memorial Hospital. He suffered a broken leg, broken ribs and other non-life-threatening injuries.
