State troopers chase truck near World Arena

At least two patrol cars were hit by a person evading the State Patrol on the south side of Colorado Springs Friday night.

State troopers said the chase ended a little after 10 p.m near Eastmeadow Drive, near Highway 115 and Academy Boulevard. The chase took law officers from Venetucci Boulevard and the World Arena to just north of Fort Carson.

Initial reports indicate the man may been driving a stolen truck.

It’s not clear if anyone was hurt in the chase.
