Colorado Springs Police investigate body found near Uintah and 19th Streets

UPDATE – Colorado Springs Police say the body is that of an elderly man and there is no sign of foul play.

Colorado Springs police are investigating he discovery of a body in a wooded area near 19th and Uintah Streets.

Police say firefighters are working to get the body out of the area right now.

The major crimes unit was notified and is investigating but at this time it is not known how the person died, how long the body has been there or any identity.
