3 arrested after traffic stop

Three people were arrested after a traffic stop when police found guns inside their car Monday night.

Police pulled over the car, with four people inside, near Astrozon Bl. and Hancock Expressway shortly before 11:00 p.m.

During the traffic stop, police discovered the driver of the car did not have a valid driver’s license or valid insurance.

Police searched the car and found three guns. Police found out two of the guns were stolen during recent burglaries. A fourth gun was found when police searched the bag of one of the passengers. The serial number on the fourth gun was scratched off.

Three of the four people inside the car were arrested. Two of the suspects are identified as Jacob Ramirez and Jacob Harper. They face weapons-related charges. The fourth person was released without being charged.
