Unruly, drunk man arrested

Police arrested an unruly, drunk man Saturday night.

Residents at a home on the 6000 block of Sproul Ln. heard someone trying to open their front door. When they checked outside, they found Joshua Lance Perkins, 21, passed out on their front porch. The residents called the police.

When police arrived at the home, four fire fighters were holding down Perkins, who was drunk.

Police handcuffed Perkins. While they were placing him into a police car, Perkins pulled away and head-butted an officer in the face.

Perkins was then placed on the ground until more officers came to help.

Perkins was taken to the police station. When they arrived, Perkins refused to get out of the police car and tried to kick out a backseat window several times. Police pepper-sprayed him but he did not calm down. Police then tased Perkins, at which point he cooperated.
