Man arrested after kidnapping investigation

Colorado Springs police have arrested a man after a kidnapping investigation.

Police said it started when a kidnapping was reported on the 900 block of North 19th Street Monday evening. Police said David Crossley, 42, forced his way into a home and forced a woman to leave with him. Police said Crossley had a gun and a knife.

Crossley took her to an apartment in the 3600 block of Airport Road, according to police. Officials said the victim was found safe and unharmed.

Investigators said the victim had been in a relationship with Crossley. Officials said as they conducted their investigation it had become unclear whether or not the victim went with Crossley willingly. Police arrested Crossley on charges of first-degree burglary and felony menacing.
