Car wash vandal caught on camera

A man upset with a car wash brush destroyed it and caused about $1,000 in damage.

It happened at the 75 Cent Car Wash near Powers Boulevard and Palmer Park on Thursday.

The incident was caught on the owner’s surveillance video.

“I went back to the video camera and noticed the damage was done by an individual in a white vehicle,” the owner said.

While the owner wishes to remain anonymous, he wanted to tell his story to KRDO.

“It was funny, like the guy was throwing a tantrum on top of foaming brush because he couldn’t read the instructions on the wall,” he said.

In the video, the man pulls into the car wash. Then, he attempts to use the soapy wash with the brush, but when the soap doesn’t come out, he gets frustrated.

In the video, the man is shown pulling on the cord to the brush, stomping on the brush and slamming the brush against the wall.

Then, the owner said the man used the car wash to rinse off his vehicle and drove off.
