Update: Copperhead Road Shooting
There is new information about the man who died after a shootout outside of Copperhead Road. Friends said his name is Trey McClendon, and that he was out celebrating his 21st birthday with his mother. That is why friend Jack Ringler said the shootout sounds wrong.
“I have never known Trey to be violent or to possess weapons or firearms. I believe the situation could have been resolved in a much different way. I just think it was senseless in the end. I mean something is not right with the whole situation,”said Ringler.
The most recent information suggests both McClendon and a security guard were involved in the shooting, but police have not released much information.
The security company involved is named SRG International, but representatives are not commenting on the incident while it remains under investigation.
