One family displaced after fire at Springs apartment

A fire at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs displaced one family on Friday evening.

The fire started in a unit at the Vista Peak Apartments. The apartments are located in the 1100 block of Potter Drive near the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Galley Road.

Firefighters were able to evacuate the affected units and quickly put out the fire. No one was injured. The fire may affect up to eight units at the apartment complex. The Red Cross will assist the displaced family with their needs.

Investigators are on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
