All highways reopened after high wind caused driving dangers

I-25, US 50, CO 96 and US 287 have all reopened after high winds and accidents caused closures throughout much of the day.

Northbound I-25 reopened about 8 miles south of Pueblo near Stem Beach. It was closed through much of Friday due to high winds.

A crash east of Pueblo caused closures on US 50 about 8 miles west of Fowler at mile marker 342. The highway reopened around 4:00 p.m. Friday.

CO 96 has also reopened in both directions from Sugar City to Eads.

US 287 reopened in both directions around 4:30 p.m. from Lamar to Springfield. It was closed due to poor visibility and storm force winds. The Colorado Department of Transportation says conditions are improving across the area.

CDOT has lifted a high wind advisory for light and high profile vehicles for I-25 from Pueblo to Trinidad.
