Lamar police find drugs on Greyhound bus

More than a pound of marijuana was discovered on a Greyhound bus in Lamar Monday afternoon.

Shortly after noon, during a search of the bus, K-9 Officer Wiley alerted to a bag. That bag contained two brick-shaped packages of marijuana weighing 639 grams, or about one and a half pounds.

Officers learned the man sitting in the seat where the bag was found had left the scene, so they went searching for him.

They later caught up with the suspect, identified as Marcus Medina.

Medina was being held in the Prowers County Jail on $30,000 bond.
