First New Year’s Baby In Born Colo. Springs

A couple in Colorado Springs welcomed their fifth child to the world just after midnight.

Vivian Rayne Travis is the first baby to be born in Colorado Springs in 2013, and made her world debut at 12:13 a.m.

The healthy baby girl was born at Memorial Hospital.

Her father told KRDO Newschannel 13 that she was due on Dec. 31st, and he was hoping she would hold off until after midnight.

“In my life, everything’s looking up. I hope she is a good luck baby, too,” said Richard Travis, the baby’s father.

In Pueblo, the first baby was born at 11:43 a.m.. The baby boy was delivered at the Parkview Medical Center.
