Art display stolen, no evidence found

Two paintings valued at $1,000 each have been stolen from a public art display in Loveland.

The paintings were among several displayed on the front of a vacant downtown building.

The canvases are about 3 feet by 4 feet. They were installed last week and were stolen between Sunday night and Monday morning.

The missing pieces are a painting of an octopus by artist Nicole Cutler and a depiction of van Gogh’s “Starry Night” by artist Angela Canada-Hopkins, said Marcie Erion, director of the Office of Creative Sector Development.

Police say they found no evidence.
