Men attempt to rob Colorado Springs liquor store

Colorado Springs police are investigating after two armed men entered a liquor store.

Police said the men were attempting to rob Academy Liquors on Academy Boulevard and near Galley Road Saturday afternoon.

Officials said the liquor store owner saw the two masked suspects come in and locked herself in the back room. Police said the owner watched on surveillance video as the suspects searched the store. They left with nothing, according to investigators.

One suspect is described as wearing blue baggy jeans, a grey sweatshirt and black hood. The second wore blue jeans and a black sweat shirt with a hood. A third man was driving the car, but police do not have a description of him.

Police said the car was a dark colored Toyota Camry with a rear spoiler, black rims and tinted windows.
