Position: Managing Editor

KRDO-TV is looking for a Managing Editor to help lead NewsChannel 13.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the overall supervision of the afternoon and evening news shows. Duties also include training and critiquing anchors/producers/reporters on staff; supervising the web efforts during the shift and spearheading the station’s news coverage. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced executive producer/producer to expand his or her management skills in a growing, fast-paced news department at a station committed to the phrase, “Where The News Comes First.”

Required Qualifications:

This candidate must have at least five years of experience producing quality television newscasts in a top 75 market along with news management experience. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, writing skills, top television production techniques and good news judgment. Knowledge of Colorado Springs news issues and “attention to detail” is also extremely important.
