Lockdown lifted at Central High School

Central High School was locked down for about an hour on Monday afternoon while District 60 officials and police conducted an internal investigation.

An official with the Pueblo Police Department told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that there was a report of a gun at the school on Monday. Officials placed the school on lockdown as a precaution while they investigated the report.

A District 60 spokesman confirms that the school was investigating the report of a gun, but did not say what the investigation revealed. D-60 officials said that students and faculty were never in any danger. The lockdown was lifted at 1:15 p.m. Monday.
