Student dies, family needs help with funeral costs
A 12-year-old Russell Middle School student is dead after a freak accident in her home. Her name has not been released, but D-11 officials said schools are helping the family raise money for the funeral costs.
“We think it is such a sad time of year you have such a loss in a family, and we want to help this family however we can,” said D-11 spokesperson Devra Ashby.
The family wants to remain private, but they do not have insurances and must pay for the funeral costs upfront.
