Car hits person in wheelchair
A car hit someone in a wheelchair at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Academy Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries according to police.
Westbound Austin Bluffs Pkwy was closed for investigation for about one hour. All lanes have since reopened.
Police tell our KRDO NewsChannel 13 crew at the scene that the driver will be likely be cited for careless driving.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but is expected to be ok.
